Indoor Cycling Class Etiquette: A Few Helpful Basics
Every studio has its own routine, and a few small habits can make class easier for everyone. If you are unsure about something, ask the instructor or front desk before the music begins.
Give yourself time to check in
Arrive with enough time to get ready, especially on your first visit. PowerCycle asks first-time riders to arrive 15–20 minutes early for bike setup and a relaxed introduction.
Keep the room comfortable
Use only the equipment you need, keep personal items out of walkways and follow any instructions about shoes or bike setup. If you need to adjust a bike during class, do so safely and let the instructor know.
Respect different paces
Riders in one class may have different goals and experience. Focus on your own ride, avoid unsolicited comparisons and leave space for others to enjoy the session. A friendly hello is always welcome.
